Ms. Raattama has over 20 years of experience as an attorney and is the owner/ proprietor of MK Consulting, LLC, a law and compliance consulting firm. Through MK Consulting, LLC Ms. Raattama provides legal, compliance, and legal operations services primarily to institutions of higher education and non-profit organizations. Ms. Raattama’s prior legal experience includes serving as General Counsel of Florida International University, a position she held for approximately 6 years, serving in positions of progressive responsibility in the University of Florida’s Office of the Vice President and General Counsel for approximately 10 years and being engaged in private practice in the real estate/commercial finance group of the law firm Bradley Arant, Boult, Cummings, LLP for 3 years. Ms. Raattama is a volunteer of the National Association of Colleges and Universities Association (NACUA), including serving on the NACUA Board of Directors of NACUA from 2014-2016 and serving currently on the NACUANOTES Editorial Board. Her other volunteer activities include being a co-founder and chair of the board of Moving the Needle, Inc. and being a member of Social Venture Partners – Miami, the Miami-Dade County Dr. Antonio Jorge Social and Economic Development Council, and the board of directors and Secretary of Philanthropy Miami. Ms. Raattama received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University and her Juris Doctor, with High Honors, from the University of Florida.
