Alex Erdmann

An accomplished chef with more than 20 years of leadership experience in the hospitality and food service industries, Alex has enjoyed a wide range of professional opportunities. Beginning his career in Germany, Alex has served as a chef internationally at locations including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Israel and the United Kingdom. While stateside, he continued his culinary endeavors with corporations like Royal Caribbean Cruises and the Disney Cruise Line, and has served in educational leadership positions at institutions like Washburne Culinary Institute, Baker College, Lexington College and the University of Arkansas.

In addition to bringing a wealth of experience, Alex is also a German-Certified Master Chef and has a post-graduate diploma in international hospitality management from the International College of Hospitality Administration in Switzerland.

Now, his journey has taken him to Valencia, where he will lead the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts in its next chapter of expansion and growth on West Campus, and effective fall 2019, the new Downtown Campus.
