Call for Presentations

2019 Conference Submissions Extended Until: June 1, 2018

Add to the meaningful dialogue as a conference presenter at the three-day Community College Conference on Learning Assessment. You are invited to submit a presentation proposal for a 75 minute concurrent session presentation (February 17-19, 2019)  or a 3 hour pre-conference workshop (February 17, 2019).

Conference Goal:

This conference will provide participants with theoretical and practical support for developing and implementing learning assessment activities that take into account the lived experience in today’s community and technical colleges.

Target Audiences:

  • Teaching faculty
  • Deans
  • Librarians
  • Counselors
  • College Presidents
  • Institutional research, effectiveness and assessment staff
  • Academic affairs administrators and staff
  • Student affairs administrators and staff

Session and Time Formats:

Pre-conference Workshops are 3 hours and provide an in-depth educational session at the conference. Pre-conference workshops will be scheduled on Sunday, February 17 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Concurrent Sessions are 75 minutes and provide the foundation of the educational content at the conference. Each of the concurrent sessions will feature six breakout sessions and will be scheduled over the first two days of the conference. Share your expertise and best practices through one of the following tracks.

Guidelines for Submission:

Preferred proposals clearly outline learning outcomes, promise a dynamic and creative format, and actively engage the audience. Submission deadline is June 1, 2018. Acceptance of presentation proposals will take place in Late July 2018. Presentations will be reviewed for relevance and purpose to provide a balanced educational program. Primary presenters will be notified via email and are responsible for notifying other co-presenters of the committee’s decision. If accepted, presenters need to confirm their intention to attend. Upon acceptance of the presentation proposal, each presenter agrees to present the proposed session, register and pay for the conference by August 31, 2018. (Presenters are paid neither honoraria nor expenses).
